Curfew has been declared in 14 villages in Lice, Hazro and Kocaköy districts of Diyarbakır.
The curfew was announced on the official website of Diyarbalır Governorate. It was reported that an operation would be launched on mountainsides and forestlands in Lice, Hazro and Kocaköy districts of Diyarbakır.
The curfew declared in accordance with the Provincial Administration Code No. 5442, will remain in effect as of 5 a.m. until further notice.
Villages under curfew
The villages placed under curfew on grounds of "keeping civilian citizens safe from harm" are as follows:
Çağdaş, Yolçatı, Uçarı, Kayacık, Ortaç, Çavundur, Doluna, Yalaza, Bağlan and Kabakkaya villages in Lice district, Çitlibahçe and Sarıerik villages in Hazro as well as Boyunlu and Gözebaşı villages in Kocaköy district.
On October 2, curfew was declared in 10 villages in Dicle and Hani districts of Diyarbakır until further notice. On October 1, 13 villages were placed under curfew for 24 hours.
