Criminal Charges against Public Officers Demanded to be Combined with Primary Case

İstanbul 14th High Criminal Court has ordered the new case with 26 suspects regarding the murder of Hrant Dink to be combined with the main case file on the Istanbul 5th High Criminal Court.

The criminal charges of the 26 suspects prepared on the basis of accusations of negligence had been submitted to court last week.

The Court has ordered the continuation of the imprisonment of Ramazan Akyürek, Ali Fuat Yılmazer, Muhittin Zenit, Ercan Demir and Özkan Mumcu; the five arrested suspects of the criminal charges against public officers due to their negligence.

Bakırcıoğlu had said “missing”

Main trial is being heard at 5th Heavy Penal Court. Sixth trial of the case was held on September 3, 2015. Hakan Bakırcıoğlu who is among the pre-hearing lawyers in his statement to bianet said that three points have always been missing in the case as of 2007. One of those has been pointed by Bakırcıoğlu as deepening the investigation and merging it with the main trial.

Bakırcıoğlu pointed other two points which he has described as missing as not being able to access organization’s upper structure and its networks. (HK/TK)
