A photograph from the Ministry of Urbanism and Environment showed that mask and distancing rules were not followed during the personnel's training for Covid-19.
In response to a parliamentary question by main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy Sezgin Tanrıkulu, Minister Kurum said that the Ministry's cleaning personnel were trained for Covid-19 precautions.
However, the photograph he shared showed that no one wore a mask and maintained physical distance, except the doctor who instructed the personnel and one other person in the photograph.
MP Tanrıkulu asked the minister about the number of infected personnel and whether there were deaths related to the virus. In response, Kurum stated that 67 personnel contracted the virus, 12 were being treated and seven were discharged from treatment.
Wearing masks in the ministry is mandatory and the personnel are provided with disposable masks, according to Kurum. (RT/VK)
