The number of patients recovered from Covid-19 surpassed 100,000 with over 2,800 recoveries in a day, the Health Ministry has announced.
Meanwhile, the counry's death toll has climbed to 3,952 with 58 fatalities over the past 24 hours. Total cases have reached 143,114 as 1,639 new cases were found in a day. The number of patients in intensive care dropped below 1,000 for the first time.

Minister: Pandemic is under control
"We have been in a steady recovery since week five of outbreak. Under current conditions, the pandemic is under control," Health Minister Fahrettin Koca told reporters after a video conference meeting with the ministry's Science Committee.
"Although our daily test capacity has reached 50,000, there is no need for such an amount due to the decline in new cases," he added.
Also, the contact tracing team of 6,239 health workers have reached out to 722,000 people contacting a patient since the first coronavirus case was recorded in Turkey, accoding to the minister.
