Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Parliamentary Group Deputy Chair Meral Danış-Beştaş has filed a parliamentary question on the release of three ISIS members who were arrested for kidnapping and trying to sell an Ezidi child.
Danış-Beştaş recalled that the three suspects were on March 8 indicted with being members and "high-level executives" of ISIS.
"A diplomat from Iraq's embassy in Ankara made a statement that they tried everything to reach the family of the rescued child but failed and said 'We think that the whole family of her was killed in ISIS' Shingal massacre'," said the deputy.
"The events in question were widely discussed. The Ezidi girl was rescued in an operation on an ISIS cell in Ankara and videos regarding the incident were shared with the public," she added.

Two suspects, Anas V. and Nasır H.R., were released after their interrogation at the prosecutor's office and the third one, Sabah A.H.O., was released on probation after the first hearing of the case.
"The mentioned ISIS members' statements regarding that they committed the charged offenses are in the case file and this information was also made public," said Danış-Beştaş. However, she added, the suspects may not be caught if they are found to be guilty now.
The HDP deputy asked Minister of Justice Abdülhamit Gül why the suspects were released, how many ISIS members there are in Turkey's prisons and how many of them are on trial. (AÖ/VK)
