The Chamber of Environment Engineers (ÇMO) will organize a series of activities at Dikili, a small town in İzmir province in western Turkey, so that the World Environment Day on June 5 will be known as the day of “struggle and warning” for a more livable world.
The activities will start with the announcement of the ÇMO Report on the Situation of Environment on Wednesday June 4 and continue with the Dikili Ecology Festival on Saturday June 7.

The festival will start with the visit of Dikili mayor Osman Özgüven. Following this, a press release and the “Water is a Right” panel will take place at Dikili square. Various panels will follow the first one: “Transformation in Agricultural Policies and its Effect on Local Administrations”, “Self-sufficiency in Energy and Energy Friendly to the Local Environment”, “Social Local Administration and Consumer Rights”, “Water Services, Privatization and Its Effect on Local Administrative Policies”, “Food, Seed, Right to Bio-security and the Crisis of the Twenty-First Century Cities”. The first day of the festival will end with a movie.
