Censorship censored as well

A prisoner in Şakran Prison wanted to send his drawing to bianet. “We want a fair trial” was written on the drawing. But the prison administration censored it. When the prisoner wanted to write to bianet about this censorship, it was censored as well.

Özgür Karakaya, a prisoner in the Şakran No. 1 Type F Prison in Turkey's Aegean province of İzmir, wanted to send his drawings to bianet. However, his drawings were censored by the prison administration.

In response to this, Karakaya penned another letter intended to inform bianet about this censorship. But, this letter was also censored by the prison administration with its decision no. 2020/1630 taken on August 28, 2020.

The third letter of Karakaya with his drawings could, this time, pass the censorship board and reach bianet after months.

Karakaya has sent the following drawings to bianet:

"We want to be tried fairly

"And we want to punish!"

"September 1

"Legal [Year]

"Opening"
