Caricature House having an archive and a library to keep caricature memory of Turkey opens its doors on September 30. The house aims to bring caricature together with people of all ages in İstanbul’s Kadıköy.
Kadıköy Municipality completed the Caricature House project that it started last year. Restored in accordance with its original, the historical wooden mansion built in 1906 has been turned into the Caricature House. The house is opening its doors with Caricature Days that will start on September 30, Friday.
Short Animation Movie screenings will meet the audience during the Caricature days in which cartoonists from Gırgır, Penguen, Leman humor magazines will organize workshops. Talks of Illustration, animation and comics will be realized during the Caricature Days that will be organized between September 30-October 2.
With the works to be carried out at the house, developing caricature art and introducing caricature to people of all ages are intended. (UB/HK/TK)
