Republican People’s Party (CHP) Muharrem İnce and CHP MPs Sezgin Tanrıkulu, Barış Yarkadaş, Selin Sayek Böke and Eren Erdem have made a call for the release of Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (HDP) imprisoned former co-chair and presidential candidate Selahattin Demirtaş.
Delivering a speech in his hometown Yalova, İnce addressing President and Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “Don’t keep Demirtaş in prison, let us compete like a man”.

CHP MPs Sezgin Tanrıkulu, Barış Yarkadaş, Selin Sayek Böke and Eren Erdem in their social media posts said that Demirtaş’s imprisonment should come to an end for a “fair election”. (TP/TK)
