The Cabinet will convene today under the leadership of President and Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chairperson Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
It is expected that Erdoğan, who participated in the G-20 summit and the UN General Assembly, will evaluate his bilateral meetings in the Cabinet.
Steps to revive the Black Sea Grain Initiative, also known as the "Grain Corridor," as well as the situation in the Russia-Ukraine war and Azerbaijan-Armenia will be on the agenda in the meeting, reported Hürriyet daily.
Medium-Term Program
One of the most important items on the Cabinet's agenda is economic developments. The meeting will involve assessments of additional measures to combat inflation. It is noted that the reflections of the Medium-Term Program (MTP), which was announced earlier this month and serves as a 3-year roadmap for the economy, will also be reviewed during the meeting.
Pensions
Work continues on the regulation of retirement pensions through a tripartite mechanism consisting of the Presidency, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. It is expected that the Cabinet meeting will involve discussions about the final arrangements in the regulation, which is expected to come on the agenda with the opening of the Parliament.
Another topic to be discussed in the Cabinet is the 10 GB internet and mobile phone support promised by Erdoğan to university students.
