Bursa Mayor: I'm Keeping at My Job

Among the mayors who President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan asked for resignation, Bursa Mayor Recep Altepe has said “I'm keeping at my job”.

Responding to journalists’ questions at Atatürk Airport in İstanbul on his return from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Altepe spoke as follows in response to the question, “Will you resign from Mayor post?”

“There is no such thing. We continue our work. I’m returning to Bursa. I hope we will continue to carry on our job. There is nothing to explain at this stage.

Altepe left the questions of “Have you met the president?” and “Were you asked for your resignation?” unanswered. “We will issue a statement if something new happens”, Altepe said. (EKN/TK)
