Reiterating demands for justice, Berkin Elvan has been commemorated in the Parliament and on the spot where he had been shot, on third year anniversary of his shooting with a gas capsule.
Berkin Elvan who had lost his life upon being hit by a gas bomb thrown by police in Okmeydanı during the Gezi Resistance has been commemorated three years after being shot to death.
Berkin Elvan's father Sami Elvan has made a press statement together with Republican People's Party (CHP) MPs in the Parliament.
Taksim Solidarity and Elvan's family have held a commemoration ceremony on the spot where Berkin Elvan had been shot.
Also members of Socialist Youth Organizations Federation (SGDF) which has launched the campaign "Justice for Suruç, Justice for Everyone" have demanded justice for Berkin Elvan and Suruç in their press statement and march which has started from Okmeydanı Djemevi.
Berkin Elvan had been injured by a gas bomb thrown by the police hitting his head on June 16, 2013 when he was 14 years old and had lost his life in Okmeydanı Hospital on March 11, 2014 at the end of his struggle for life which has lasted for 269 days.

Starting his speech with the expressions “Today is a milestone in our lives. It’s obvious who has shot my child, Sami Elvan has added;
“Whoever has given the command is the murderer of my child. He is the then Prime Minister and current President of this country. I am somewhere close to him, he shall come and put a bullet also in my head. Or may he send his police officers and murderers and let them put a bullet also in my head. I am waiting for that bullet. It is better to die once than dying once again everyday”.

Taksim Solidarity and Elvan’s family have held a commemoration ceremony on the spot where Berkin Elvan had been shot.
Reminding of the words of President Recdep Tayyip Erdoğan that “a woman who denies motherhood is half” Berkin Elvan’s mother Gülsüm Elvan has said “I had become a mother but you have made me half by taking away my child”.
Justice Demonstration of SGDF members has started

The campaign “Justice for Suruç, Justice for Everyone” launched by Socialist Youth Organizations Federation (SGDF) protesting for justice during 33 days on 33 different locations has started with the demonstration of Berkin Elvan.
A statement has been made during the demonstration which has started in front of the Okmeydanı Djemevi supported also by student collectives and attended by Gülsüm Elvan and Saturday Mother Hatice Yıldız.
In the statement, four demands have been listed:
* Lifting the confidentiality order on the case of Suruç Massacre
* Putting those responsible for Suruç massacre on trial
* All information and documents regarding Suruç massacre should be made public
* Massacres in Amed, Suruç and Ankara should be solved. (BK/DG)
