Bairam Message from Imprisoned Politicians

Imprisoned politicians from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) have released a joint bairam message.

According to Mezopotamya Agency, the message published on Yeni Yaşam newspaper read as follows:

"We're greeting bairam with tens of thousands of people in dungeon"

"Everyone deserves to live with their own language, identity and culture. Bairams are days when desire to live in peace, freedom and equal conditions is emphasized strongly again.

"As part of this struggle for humanism and honor, we celebrate Eid al Adha by sharing the same thought and feeling with millions of people despite the walls and iron bars between us.

"We are greeting this bairam with our friends, individuals who struggle for democracy and freedom, academics, journalists and intellectuals, in short with tens of thousands of people who oppose to course of the country under dungeon conditions".

"It doesn't matter which one of us is behind the walls"

"In the circumstances in which fascism has turned the whole country to a prison, it doesn't matter which one of us is behind these walls. We believe that these walls will be torn down and freedom, peace and fraternity will prevail.

"We are always with you. They will not be able to separate us. The winner will be us".
