The application period to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has been lowered from six to four months after a final verdict issued by domestic authorities.
Protocol No. 15, which amended the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), came into force on August 1, 2021.
The provision lowering the application period was due to come into effect six months after the protocol.
The four-month rule will apply to court verdicts issued on or after February 1.
