Joint attorneys have protested against this decision, reminding the court that Salih Hacisalihoglu, Osman Alpay, Irfan Özkan and Veysel Toprak are being tried for "helping a criminal organisation", "supplying a gun", "hiding criminal evidence" and "aiding and abetting a criminal organisation".
The Dink family lawyers have applied to a higher court, saying that the actions of the four suspects were vital in illuminating basic aspects of the murder trial.
The lawyers pointed out that there had not yet been any examination of murder suspect O.S., Zeynel Abidin Yavuz and Tuncay Uzundal (the latter two accused of membership in criminal organisation and involvement in the murder).
In addition, the lawyers said that directions to heavy penal courts in Trabzon, Hatay and Bayburt had been left unanswered, that some suspects had not been heard yet, and that not all evidence had been collected yet. (EÖ/EÜ/AG)
