5-year-old Hüseyin Selçuk has been shot to death in his neck in Turkey’s southeastern Cizre district of Şırnak province.
According to Fırat News Agency, Selçuk has lost his life by fire opened by special operations teams in front of his house.
Officials speaking to Doğan News Agency stated that there is no operational activity of security forces on Merdan Street where Selçuk killed. “According to initial findings, it was determined that Hüseyin Selçuk lost his life due to a Kalashnikov bullet”.
Selçuk’s body was firstly taken to Cizre State Hospital, and then to Şırnak State Hospital Morgue.
A 16-year-old child named Hüseyin Ertene was shot to death by special operations officers the other day in Cizre.
Again the other night, fire opened on Emin Demir (13) and his father Sahil Demir (50) from Cahferi Sadık hill. Sahil Demir has been wounded in his foot, and his son Emin Demir has been wounded in his leg.
Bodies await to be buried
23 civilians including 3-months-old Miray İnce have been killed during the curfew declared on December 14 in Cizre.
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Şırnak MP, Ferhat Encü, wrote on his Twitter account that as many as 30 bodies wait for days at Şırnak State Hospital Morgue to be buried. (AS/TK)
