Coming to Republican People’s Party (CHP) provincial building for visit during election campaign in Burdur, Justice and Development Party (AKP) Burdur MP and MP candidate for June 24 elections Bayram Özçelik strangled a young CHP voter whom he quarreled with on the claim that he insulted him.
Later on, Özçelik apologized to the young person.
Özçelik entered the CHP provincial building at around 4:30 p.m.
Shaking hand with those in the building, Özçelik brawled with a young CHP voter. During the brawl, Özçelik strangled the youngster.
Upon the people close-by interfering in, Bayram Özçelik and the people accompanying him left the building.
Özçelik: He said, ‘I don’t shake hand with a FETÖ member’
As reported by the DHA, AKP’s Özçelik told briefly what happened:
“After shaking hands with three-four people, I extended my hand to that youngster. After saying ‘I don’t shake hand with a FETÖ (Fethullahist Terrorist Organization) member’, he said, ‘Terrorists and FETÖ members cannot enter the CHP’.
“Then a quarrel sparked between us. These incidents occurred. Then a meeting was held at the governorship. In the meeting, CHP provincial director said ‘Apologize’. Then I went to the party and apologized to the youngster”. (EKN/TK)
