Businessperson Ali Ağaoğlu, along with his bodyguards, staged a surprise attack on My World Europe Community Residents Welfare and Solidarity Foundation meeting set up by residents of My World Europe housing community of 3,000 domiciles owned by Ağaoğlu himself. The businessperson spewed heavy swears at people present at the meeting.
Ağaoğlu, who allegedly battered the president of the foundation, spoke: “Whoever doesn’t like it can take their money and leave. I won’t have the peace here disturbed so that a couple of snobby sons of bitches get a share of the pie. It says Ağaoğlu here.”
According to Rabia Yılmaz’s news piece in BirGün newspaper, My World Europe Community Residents Welfare and Solidarity Foundation members came together for a change in the current administration. Hearing of the meeting, Ali Ağaoğlu staged a raid on the foundation with 30-40 bodyguards. After breaking in, Ağaoğlu insulted and attacked foundation president Müslüm Erçetin.
Indictment
Taken to the hospital by community residents after the attack, Attorney Erçetin went to file a complaint in Başakşehir Police Station Command. Erçetin testified that Ağaoğlu had staged a similar attack last year and that this was why he did not go up to him immediately, and said:
''I went to the foundation office in the morning. There were around ten community residents there. Five minutes later, a crowded group of about 30-40 people came in kicking the door open. Ağaoğlu was standing in front of them all. I said, ‘Welcome, Ali Bey [Mr. Ağaoğlu]’. Ağaoğlu addressed me saying, 'Are you the faggot in question?' I turned to people next to me and said, ‘Are you witnessing this?’ Upon this Ağaoğlu addressed me again saying, ‘I will fuck your mother [ruin you], they can witness that too.’ And then he walked up to me and punched the left side of my face. Again to me he said, ‘You’re going to die [I’m going to kill you].”
Ağaoğlu: No violence, just curses
Speaking to Hürriyet newspaper about the incident, Ali Ağaoğlu admitted to cursing but denied any allegations of battery.
Ağaoğlu said the following:
“I go around all my housing communities to gather information. It’s true that I toured My World Europe. During my tour, someone made unfounded allegations about the housing community and talked nonsense. And I cursed. But the allegations of violence are false.” (EKN/PU)
