Afrin Resident Blames ‘FSA’, Habertürk TV Translates as ‘YPG’

Speaking to Habertürk TV channel at Afrin Special broadcast dated March 27, Afrin residents have talked about the destruction and atrocity done by the Free Syrian Army, the translator has translated as “YPG (People’s Protection Units) looted”.
Veyis Ateş’s interviews with Afrin residents were broadcast at Afrin Special program on Habertürk TV. How the interviewees’ words manipulated were noticed and shared by social media users.
The aforementioned dialogue was checked by bianet Kurdî (Kurdish) editors and translated into Turkish.
As can be watched at minute 34:10 of the program, the residents tell how the FSA stole their belongings. The translator is translating these as “The YPG did this and that”. (FD/MB/EA/TK)
