Another five people lost their lives today (January 5) during police or military operations launched during curfews imposed as of December 14 in Turkey’s southeastern Cizre and Silopi districts of Şırnak.

According to Fırat News Agency (ANF), the bodies of four people who were shot to death yesterday night (January 4) in Karşıyaka neighborhood were taken into Silopi State Hospital today. The report states all four of them were killed by security forces.
Ali Tetik (34) who was wounded by fire opened by special operations police officers on December 27 in Cizre lost his life today in the hospital where he was taken into for treatment.
Tetik was married and father of five. (AS/TK)
