3,022 judicial court judges and prosecutors as well as 918 administrative justice court judges were appointed the Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK).
According to the decision of appointment published on the Official Gazette today (November 29), the appointed 3,940 judges and prosecutors had been selected by lot.
According to the decision, the appointments were undertaken on the grounds of the the lots drawn on August 19, September 7, October 12, and November 8,9 and 15 in compliance with Article 13 of the Law on Judges and Prosecutors No. 2802.
3, 659 discharges in total
In his statement on November 10, Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ had announced that the HSYK had discharged 3,456 judges and prosecutors.
On November 17, 203 judges and prosecutors were also discharged by the HSYK on the grounds that they were related with the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization/Parallel State Organization (FETÖ/PYD). (AS/DG)
