Two police officers have lost their lives in the operations against YPS (Civil Protection Units) members in Nusaybin district of Mardin under curfew and Yüksekova district of Hakkari.
In the operations held in Abdülkadir Paşa neighbourhood of Nusaybin district which has been under curfew since March 14, four police officers have been severely injured due to improvised explosive device paved on the road being detonated by YPS members.
One of the wounded officers under treatment in Nusaybin State Hospital has lost his life despite all efforts.
In the operations conducted in Yüksekova, the district under curfew since March 13 in Hakkari province, special operations police officer Sinan Kunduracı has lost his life.

Yüksekova is one of the three districts of Turkey’s southeastern province of Hakkari. It is located a few kilometers away from the Turkish-Iraqi border.
