Erzincan Province Governor’s Office released a statement, banning the usage of all rights related to press statements, demonstrations and petitions until January 12.
The governor’s office based its ruling according to Turkish Penal Code Article 2911 on the grounds of “public safety, people’s peace and security and the continuation of commercial and economic life”.
The statement made specific descriptions on which streets and pavement were included in the ban. pavements and streets
On December 26, clashes occurred between those who protested Maraş and Roboski Massacres and those who reacted against protests.
Police used tear gas to disperse the clashes. (YY/BM)
