In a clash during the operations held in Turkey’s southeastern Yüksekova district of Hakkari province, one special operations police officer has lost his life.
According to the report on Hürriyet daily, a clash has occurred between the members of Civil Protection Units (YPS) and security forces.
A special operations police officer whose identity has not been declared, lost his life at 2.15 p.m. today (March 31). His body has been delivered to province of Van by land due to weather conditions.
Following his funeral to be held in the Gendarmerie Security Corps Commandership, his body will be delivered to his hometown.
Yüksekova district is under curfew since March 14. (EKN/DG)
