Kurtuluşumuzu Örgütleyelim Konferansı, Adana, Antalya, Mersin, İstanbul, İzmir, Ankara, Diyarbakır ve Bursadan iki yüzün aşkın kadının katılımıyla gerçekleşti. Konferansın sonunda, bir kadın koordinasyonu için ön girişim oluşturulmasına karar verildi.

TUBAKKOM was established to push for gender equality in Turkish laws and to maintain swift implementation of laws. On with the contention, said the commissions founder president Nazan Moroglu.

The defendants, who are charged with raping the 12-year-old N.C., are being tried in closed-door hearings. Two women, who are accused of selling N.C. to these men, are also being tried. About 50 women from various provinces came to Mardin to support N.C.

Turkeys new Justice Minister Cicek served as a state minister in the years of 1987-1991. When Cicek was the state minister responsible of family matters, women protested him by blowing whistles. They even got divorces in protest.
